Collectible Items
How many collections do you think there are in the world? Well since anything can be kept, then there is as much collection as there are objects on this earth. Some of them are colorful, some are strange etc. Also, you cannot judge someone’s collection no matter how ‘weird’ it may seem to you. If someone wants to collect little bars of soap from hotels all around the world then that is up to them. This is a great memory too. Then again, someone might decide that they want all miniature cars there is in the world. If that person affectionate a certain object in particular, then they will do anything they can to have this car. Everyone has their own preferences.
Like someone I heard on television, an object will only be worth something if someone is willing to pay money for them. For example lets say that an item is worth 1000$, if someone decides to pay 800$ then this card is worth 800$. If that same card finds a buyer willing to spend four times that amount then it is worth four times that amount. Again, some other collectible objects that are cards, toothbrush etc.
What is so amazing about collecting is that there are some collections all over the world. Since we are living in the technological era the place to go for trading or buying or selling is an auction place like EBAY or Yahoo. Depending on what your collection is ready to spend a lot of time to find all your items you want. You can also go to malls to look for your favorite items. To not get discouraged too quickly, find an item that might interest other collectors.
Also, if you decide to sell or want to sell parts of your collection, you might want to literally show your collection. Some people might be afraid that you rip them off or some just want to make sure that the item they are looking for is exactly that. If you are really serious about collecting be aware that your collection will take up space and you will need a lot of room. You might have a little trouble insuring your collection sometimes as most companies find them worthless (is it ever frustrating!) You have to go to a specialist for this.
How does one choose something over another? Well this depends on the feeling a person has when he looks at an object. It will also help if the person knows if this is stuff that can be sold.
America has a favorite pastime. The best feeling in the world is when spring or summer comes and you see a sign posted on the corner of a street and it’s written yard sale. In North America, this has become the new trend. People literally freak out. That’s why it’s not rare for a grandparent to teach their grandchildren bargaining. We have a duty as citizens to keep history alive. By collecting stuff we do that. My advice to you is, if you want to amass huge sums of objects, do it and keep history alive.
